Mediocrity

It's almost 1 am at night and my mind in unraveling with thoughts. My doctor would say that it's mucus because the fever hasn't been getting any lower. All these pills and movie marathons have made me introspect about my college life so far. If I needed to sum it up in one word, it would be- Mediocrity. 

People embrace mediocrity here like an armour of vibranium. The stuff that clubs do are straight up BS and won't teach you anything except for how people are sharks in those clubs and at the end of the day, you are either a shark or shark's poop, because by the time you realise, you are already eaten up like a plate of ubadiyu. I'm sorry for the sobo people in here, you get eaten up like a plate of caramel custard. Although I don't think there's any sobo person reading this, if you are... Congratulations, this would be like dark web for you.

As I was saying, people embrace mediocrity like hell in here. If they try to go the other way, they'll be like "oh my god, how dare he, he is so careless, he doesn't even care" *proceeds to smoke* 

I mean... You are the one holding the ciggerates while I'm holding few more years on my lifeline where I could watch how my favourite tv show ends in future. But I am not against any party culture or smoking culture. Everyone has the right to their wrong opinions ofcourse and I respect it.

There's a phenomenon called Convergent Evolution. It is also known as Carcinization. It's a specific type of convergent evolution where non-crab crustaceans evolve into a crab-like body plan. Basically, adaptation to the environment. Carcinization happens in sea creatures where every sea animal eventually turns into a 'lobster' shaped creature to make sure they have the ideal living conditions according to their environment. In college life, carcinization is adapting to mediocrity. There's a very thin line between adapting to something good or something bad and as much as I have seen... People choose the other one.

Mediocrity is following the crowd and being okay with it. Mediocrity is being two faced. Mediocrity is even being in the pool full of sharks. Mediocrity is being a lobster. Mediocrity is being basic.

Mediocrity is f*cking boring and mediocrity is you if this hurt you.

I'm gonna say it that I'm not mediocre at all. I fail, I fall, I cry, I laugh, I cuss, and I am not perfect.

Atleast I'm aware about it. What about you?
